Natasha Cooke, LPC, co-owner of Earth and Water Counseling in Katy, Texas

Natasha Cooke

MS, NCC & Licensed Professional Counselor — Co-owner

About me

I am a graduate of the University of Houston, where I first discovered my passion for mental health while volunteering in a Couples Research Lab. Outside of my work as a therapist, I love discovering new coffee shops, traveling, and spending time in nature. I also enjoy quiet days at home with my loved ones, including my dogs.

Support for individuals

I provide counseling in Katy, Texas for individuals — including adults and teens (14+). Many clients come to me for help with anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, or difficulty setting boundaries. Together we work on developing healthy coping tools and improving overall mental health and well-being. Relationships extend beyond romantic partners, and I support clients as they navigate family dynamics, friendships, and workplace challenges.

Guidance in your relationship

You may be thinking about marriage counseling, or wondering how to bring back the spark in a long-term partnership. I work with couples at many different points in their journey — preparing for marriage, working through difficult seasons, or simply hoping to strengthen the connection you already have.

My approach

I draw from evidence-based practices such as the Gottman Method to help partners improve communication, nurture intimacy, and create a solid foundation for lasting growth. Our time together is not only about addressing challenges but also about learning skills for healthy conflict, rekindling romance, and building a partnership that feels resilient and fulfilling.

What to expect in therapy

Therapy can sometimes bring difficult emotions to the surface, but it can also be a space of growth, relief, and even laughter. I aim to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where you feel safe exploring challenges while moving toward your goals.

César Monagas

MS, NCC & LPC Associate — Co-owner

About me

Hi! I am César. I grew up in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to the US at the age of 12. I experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to adapt to a completely new environment and to handle new life transitions. I graduated from UTSA with a bachelor's in Psychology and then earned a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Victoria. My background includes working as a crisis line specialist, where I supported individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological struggles. I firmly believe that caring for your mental and emotional well-being is imperative to a fulfilling life — for me that looks like music, art, and time with friends, family, and dogs.

My approach

My approach is grounded in empathy, non-judgment, and empowerment. Having gone through my own personal journey with therapy, I understand how transformative the process can be. I strive to create a space where your emotions are valid, your challenges are respected, and your growth is the focus. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we explore what's hurting, build on your strengths, and develop the tools to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I often say emotions are like children: you can't let them drive the car, but you also can't shove them in the trunk.

What to expect from therapy with me

  • A collaborative and strengths-based approach
  • Skills to help manage distressing thoughts or emotions
  • Space to process difficult experiences
  • Encouragement to grow into your most authentic self
  • A culturally sensitive and inclusive experience
